Apollinaire Ithe adopted name of Wilhelm Apollinaris de Kostrowitsky was a french poet of Polish-Italian parentage. His poetry broke with all the traditions in its subject matter, style, punctuation and typography and his Les Peintres cubiste helped define the new school of painting.
