This right-angled
architectural wonder in New York celebrated its 100th birthday
last year!
It
proper name is the Fuller Building but from the time it was built
it was named the Flatiron Building. Built in 1901-1903 it occupies
a triangular site where 23rd Street and Fifth Avenue cross. Built
by the firm of Daniel H Burnham with the design by Charles B Atwood,
the Flatiron Building is essentially a three sided building and
about 2 metres wide at its narrowest point.
