    MARGARET BOURKE-WHITE
    1904-1971

    She was a student of Clarence H White who influenced many photographers of the next generation. Bourke-White had an illustrious career as one of America's leading industrial photographers. She photographed the Ford Motor Plant, the Fort Dam for the first cover of LIFE Magazine in 1936, was active on various fronts during World War 11, during the 1930's worked almost exclusively in the advertising field, and during the Depression depicted "the grandeur of industry" for Fortune's pages..
