Golden Gate Bridge
You can walk or cycle across the bridge during daylight and only on its east side. Start at Fort Point Lookout and walk across to Marin County on the other side. When the bridge opened in 1937 it was the longest suspension bridge in the world

Hop on the Powell-Hyde line for one of the best scenic rides, or the Powell-Mason line to finish up at Fisherman's wharf. - see San Francisco for only about US$3 a ride.
