J.S. Bach. Toccata in F major. BWV 540. St. Bavokerk, Haarlem.

Organ built by Christian Müller between 1735-1738, lll/62/P, over 5000 pipes. One of the finest period organs in the Netherlands.
The organ case, which is likewise of extraordinary beauty, was made by Jan van Logteren, a sculptor from Amsterdam. The case is richly gilded and decorated with more than 25 larger than life-size statues, the pinnacle is crowned with two lion figures holding the coat of arms of Haarlem.
Recorded in 1993.

Eglise St. Sulpice, Paris. Organ by Cavaillé-Coll 1862.
This monumental instrument is indisputably one of the finest organs ever built, perhaps the summit of Cavaillé-Coll's craftmanship and genius. The sound and musical effects achieved with this instrument are almost unparalleled.
